How to boost your energy and keep on top of things

Woman reassesses life during a road trip around Iceland in November with best friend’s deaf son.

What happens when you find out your boyfriend’s not a regular bloke but a superhero.

Oscar winning Anglo-French actress disappears from the glare of celebrity and escapes to the countryside.

These are the last three books I’ve read and this is what they've reminded me about how to balance our energy.

Meaning I get more balance into my week and avoid the crash and burn.

All of these books are quite different.

Different themes.

Different moods.

Wildly different plots.

Words can take us on lots of journeys and adventures.

They can give us energy.

And take energy.

And our lives are full of words.

How to manage your energy more effectively

Here’s a tip to better manage your energy throughout the working week.

Think of the people you interact with.

Of the words they use.

The words you hear.

And of the effect that has on you.

Could be good.

Could be bad.

Could be just the best time.

Ever.

And balance your schedule to create the energy you want.

I’ll say that again, balance your schedule to create the energy you want.

This might mean moving things around a bit.

Shifting that thing from Monday morning to Thursday afternoon.

Or it could mean planning something nice after something that drains you.

Or doing something calming after that exciting thing.

How we arrange the communication we have with others can be a gamechanger.

It can help us manage our energy and moods.

What can you shift about to look after your energy?

P.S. As for me, in terms of the words I’m reading, I’m now off to the 1800s. I’ve just started reading about 7 Irish sisters with lustrous locks down to their ankles who take the world by storm and make their fortune dancing on the stage.

If you’re looking to get more balance in your day to day or in your job as a whole, and want to take back some control, drop me a line. I’d love to chat with you about that.
